Philadelphia Airport Parking Deal of the Week

I was online looking for a good place to park my car at the Philadelphia Airport while I go out of town on business, and I came across a great deal I want to share with you all.
Since I live about an hour away from the airport, I decided this was the best deal I could get.

Are you ready?
The Best Deal in Phila Airport Parking is.. Microtel Inn & Suites Phila Airport - PHL
For just 109.99 I get to stay at The Microtel the night before my trip. That way I don't have to get stuck in rush hour traffic on my way to the airport. Not to mention having to depend on luck to find parking, and even more luck to find a shuttle in said parking lot to take me to the airport.

Now I can arrive at the hotel whenever I want and relax. Get a wakeup call in the morning and be refreshed for my trip.

Their airport shuttles run every half hour, 24/7 so it will be no problem getting to the airport on time.

And I gotta tell ya, $109.99 is a great deal. I've paid that much just to park in the economy lot before. And I got absolutely nothing for it. Here I get coffee and danish for breakfast and I won't have to deal with traffic.

So I recommend Microtel Inn & Suites Phila Airport -PHL
Dont forget that at Microtel, you have a kitchen to cook in too. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Saving Money on Philadelphia Airport Parking Fees

Here's a good article I found to help you find a good deal on airport parking at the Philadelphia airport. Phila Airport parking fees are high and you have to do your research before you head out on your vacation or trip.

Parking at the Philadelphia International Airport can be an adventure in itself. Travelers need to be aware of parking fees and how to get the best deals.

If you just go to the airport thinking you will find a cheap place to park, think again. The parking lots are sitting there just waiting for you to turn up unaware of prices and policies.

The worst example we found was parking your car at any on-site parking lot at Philadelphia International Airport. All of the Philadelphia on-site lots are owned by the city of Phila. and run by companies for them. The city sets the price it wants people to pay when they either pre-book a space or just turn up at one of the parking lots.

One way to save money is to park at one of the privately run remote airport parking lots near PHL, and there are many of them. These are often cheaper than the airports own long-term parking lots, and online discounts can make parking at one of these facilities even cheaper.

Drivers often avoid the private airport parking lots, thinking it will take extra time to transfer to and from the airport. But many of these private parking lots are also a shuttle ride away from the terminal. And at busier airports, such as Philadelphia and New York's JFK, the long-term parking lot is often full, which means you could spend half an hour looking for a space before searching for a remote parking lot anyway.

Another good alternative is to find a hotel in the area of the airport which has a secured parking facility and free shuttle service 24 hours a day.

One of the best Hotels in the Philadelphia area offering this service is the Philadelphia Airport Ramada's Park and Jet, which is located just 2 miles from the airport and offers free shuttle service to and from your car 24 hours a day, 7 day a week.

When you return from your trip, you just pick-up one of the direct phone lines in the airport and they will come pick you up.

They also have a coupon on their website and they also offer Park Sleep Fly package deals where you stay overnight and fly out in the morning. So, the moral of the story is to do your research in advance of your trip, compare prices and get the best deal online.

10 Things I Like About Airport Hotels With Park Sleep Fly Packages

10 Things I Like About Airport Hotels With Park Sleep Fly Packages

Park Sleep Fly Packages have become very popular in the past couple years, but some people still don't understand why you would go this route when you can just go to a local airport parking lot the day of your flight.

There are a lot of reasons to do whatever you want to do, but:

These are the Top 10 Things I like about Airport Hotels with Park Sleep Fly Packages:

  1. I get to leave for my trip a day early. With my package booked at an airport hotel, I leave the day before. I stay at the hotel that night and depending on when my flight leaves, get up and go catch a shuttle to the airport the next day.
  2. I get to have a nice dinner the night before either at the Hotel Restaurant, or a restaurant nearby. There's always a good restaurant near the airport.
  3. I Don't have to worry about traffic. When I am at an airport hotel, I am almost at the airport and the shuttle will take me the rest of the way.
  4. I don't have to search for a parking place at the airport parking lot, then hope for a shuttle to pick me up.
  5. I don't have to worry about my car being in the airport's longterm parking lot.
  6. I don't have to worry about missing my flight. I get a wakeup call in the morning.W
  7. When I'm ready I just have to walk down to the lobby to catch my shuttle. No rushing around the house like a chicken with his head cut off.
  8. I don't have to pay the airports exorbitant parking charges where I get nothing in return.
  9. When I come back from my trip, the Hotel shuttle comes and picks me up at the arrivals gate and helps me with my luggage. Cause by this time I am tired.
  10. I can always count on getting good service from the hotel parking and shuttle service.

So there you have it. My top 10 reasons for using airport park sleep fly hotels. This is actually a little known thing that started up when the airports started charging so much for parking that you could rent a room and leave your car at the hotel for free. I like to get something for my money, and paying for parking my car is not the best value.

I'd rather pay the hotel, start my trip early and have fun instead of worrying.

Phila Airport Park Sleep Fly Deals

I found this at story at :
http://phila-airport-parking.com/blog/
and found it quite interesting to see that The Ramada
has its own secured parking lot. I wonder if the other hotels in the area will
soon do the same. I think one of the other hotels has a fenced in lot,
but nothing like the operation down at the Ramada.

Phila Airport Park Sleep Fly Deals

Having a look at the available hotels near the phila airport that offer parking and shuttle, doesn't really give me many choices. Only 4 hotels are offering airport parking packages through ParkSleepFly.com and of the 4, 2 of those are sold out for the days I need to reserve for my trip.

The 2 remaining choices were Comfort Inn Philadelphia Airport, and Ramada Philadelphia Airport South.

Not being too familiar with Comfort Inn, and knowing that The Ramada has a seperate parking lot for longterm parking used exclusively for airport travelers. Not to mention the 10 or more vans I see in their lot, I decided to book my parking package with The Ramada.

I'll be paying a little more than if I stayed at the Comfort Inn ($199 Ramada, $175 Comfort Inn), but the benefits will surely outweigh the extra few dollars I am paying.

I don't really want to leave my car in a hotel lot if it's not secure. 14 days is a long time to leave your car in a hotel lot. But at the Ramada, I know my car will be behind a locked fence and not out in the open.

I also can count on the shuttles being there on time to pick me up in the morning at the Hotel, and when I return, hopefully they will pick me up promptly at the airport.

Well wish me luck on my trip to Florida, and I'll let you all know how I made out with The Ramada Parking Package.

PS. If you are planning on booking a ParkSleepFly Package near the Phila Airport, book it in advance, they seem to sell out fast.

Park Sleep Fly Packages include 1 night hotel accommodations before or after your trip,
and up to 14 days parking with FREE shuttle and help with your luggage.
